Three Reasons Why Now Is The Time To Migrate To Cloud-Based Dynamics 365 (Even Amid COVID-19)

As we all try and make sense of this global pandemic both from a personal and business perspective, it has become very apparent to me that now is the time to make some important decisions.

Cloud adoption has certainly experienced a steady rise over the past couple of years. However, there are still some holdouts who, for whatever reason, have not taken the leap. A major business application that is surprisingly still on premise are Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers.

Here are my top thee reasons why now is the time to migrate your Dynamics CRM to the 100% cloud-based Dynamics 365.

1. Accessibility

If there is one thing the COVID-19 Pandemic is teaching us is that many businesses are still woefully inadequate when it comes to enabling their employees, partners and customers to work and interact from anywhere. Prior to the pandemic, we all kind of got that connecting to a CRM from Starbucks was cool and provided some flexibility, but now it has become a necessity. Most people have high-speed internet connectivity from home and with the 24/7 availability of Dynamics 365 accessible form virtually any device with an internet connection business can still go on.

2. Scalability

On-premise CRM is expensive ―it needs costly IT support people and infrastructure etc. Furthermore, when this Pandemic comes to an end, business will ramp up quickly once again. The ability to scale and adapt to increasing business demands will be a big expense for on-premise CRM customers. Cloud-based CRM like Dynamics 365 is simple and affordable. Expanding your business use of CRM will be as easy as adding additional users, that’s it. No costly infrastructure upgrades.

3. Security

Companies like Microsoft take security very seriously and are investing billions in it to keep your data safe. Simply put, there is no way your business can afford the same security levels that a company like Microsoft gives you with your precious business data. Moving your CRM to the Microsoft cloud with Dynamics 365 gives you peace of mind and protects you better than ever before.

Conclusion

There is no question that this pandemic will hit us hard. The typical reaction is to hold off on everything until this all blows over. But I would wager that business will return to normal and those that are truly in the cloud with their business applications will rebound quicker, respond to demand better and be better equipped when the next wave of adversity hits.

Manufacturing During The New Normal of COVID-19

Jan 14, 2021

COVID-19 has resulted in the transformation of office environments to facilitate what has been called a “new normal” for workers.

Working during this time features a higher percentage of stay-at-home workers, office-environment signage and traffic-flow products designed to maintain the physical separation of onsite workers.

The elimination of meetings and common areas are typical of most offices, and the continuous and ongoing sanitizing of printers, copiers and other jointly used equipment is all part of the new work reality.
